Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition (BIMPE)
Beautiful, varied, inspired art from around the world, wine and cheese, speeches, a raffle, ladies in extravagant hats and men in kilts- what more could you hope for at an art opening? A few of us from ZenHouse attended the opening for the 6th annual BIMPE at the Federation Gallery on Saturday. It was a great success and an impressive show featuring a juried selection of 300 miniature prints selected from over 10,000 entries from all corners of the world. ZenHouse Media helped sponsor the event by designing the catalogue, posters and postcards, as well as selling raffle tickets at the opening!

Celebrating Granville Island Works — Community Event
Today is the big day! Come down to Performance Works on Granville Island anytime after 5pm today and help us celebrate the launch of the Granville Island Works newspaper and website by ZenHouse Media!
There are two other community initiatives that we’re also celebrating, the Granville Island book and the Artists and Artisans of Granville Island video! In short, if you love Granville Island, come on down to meet and celebrate the people who make it such an awesome place!
5–7pm Meet and greet with the press, mingle with key members of Vancouver’s artistic and cultural community and meet the people behind these exciting projects! Silent auction opens at 5pm.
7–11pm DJ little d, along with local musicians Blind God and the Neal Ryan Band will get the party going! Beer, wine and food for sale. Silent Auction, Raffle & Prizes!

Two pretty major things happened today:

2) If you happen to pick up a Georgia Straight this week anywhere in Vancouver west of Main, downtown, North Vancouver and Burnaby, you will see one of the 60,000 copies of the Granville Island… Works newspaper that has been distributed today in the centerfold of the Georgia Straight! wahoo!
